2010 Transmission noise
Hey everyone, I am a newbie on this forum and a Mazda newbie!
My wife and I purchased a 2010 Mazda3 5-door last week with the automatic transmission.
This is the first automatic transmission vehicle we have had in family since 1995 (she recently messed up her achilles tendon, clutch foot) and has been unable to drive for 2 months.
She feel in love with the 3, so we traded in her Forester 5-speed.
We have about 500 miles on it and noticed today (probably has been doing it all along), that when I let off the gas under say 20 mph and under, coast a second, then tap the gas to accelerate I hear a slight clunk in the drivetrain.
Its not a really loud noise, but it is there.
I know this sounds stupid, but I am not use to automatics, and don’t know if this is just inherent in the design.
I figured I would throw the question out there and see is anyone else experiences the same thing.
Thoughts?
Matt
