2014 Mazda 3 i pod control
I have recently bought a new 2014 Mazda 3 and have connected an I pod touch using the USB connection. The problem that I have is that each time I turn off the ignition and although I have left the I pod connected when I start the car again it always reverts to the first track alphabetically in songs also I can not access the menu under artists or album. I can only skip through tracks in the songs menu. This is really anoying as I have approx 1000 tracks on the I pod and end up listening to track 1 all the time. I am not sure if this is a fault with the I pod or a problem with the Mazda control of the I pod. I would really appreciate any advice especially if you have had a similar problem and been clever enough to resolve it.

Hello sir,
So if you look at the screen, there is a Solid Folder and then there are Lines..
The lines are the major listings, like Artist, Album, etc..
Using the jog wheel, click on 'Artist' (or whatever).
When that list appears, on the right hand side there is an alphabetical listing going down.
Using the jog wheel, (like a joystick) move it to the right, the A should now be highlighted.
Using the wheel, scroll to whatever letter (say L).
When at the L, Click the wheel; Artists starting with L are now on the screen.
Using the wheel, (like a joystick) move it back to the left. You are now in your L artist name..
Make sense?
I agree that when you turn the car off that it resets. Yes it does.
Also the music does not continue to play when you turn the car off. Other new cars keep the music going until you open the door..
