2016 keyless entry malfunction but key is working.

Any help is greatly appriciated. I have just bought a 2016 Mazda 3, it has a "keyless entry malfunction" message and the doors dont auto unlock or lock with the key. The key itself works perfectly, I can unlock and lock the car with the buttons just not the keyless entry. The car starts and drives perfectly with the key.

I have taken it to my local car shop who reprograms keys, he wiped the key off and readded it, made no difference. He also looked on his basic fault code reader and there wern't any fault codes.

There is only one key and its now the only key regestered. I have changed the key battery, made no difference.

I have tried replacing the "room" fuse as I read that can control it and I have unplugged the passanger door sensor (for an unrelated issue) which also made no difference.

I have tried leaving the battery unplugged for an hour and then locking and unlocking the car. If I unplug the keyless entry control module ( D09V-675UO) the car won't start because it can't find a key. So the car is finding the key.

Could this be a faulty sensor stopping the rest working? Is there any way I can test without ripping half the car to pieces to unplug sensors? Do I need to replace the entry module ecu? Do I need to reprogram the module to the car for the immobisiler etc if I do replace it?

Thanks!
