3i Cruise control

Well, I verified it last night. I removed my airbag and steering wheel and plugged in a steering wheel with the cruise buttons on it. The ECM turned the cruise main light on. a short drive verified correct operation. So, to make a long story short, the car is already wired for it from the clockspring down, and the ECU will automatically "see" it. Cruise is only a steering wheel swap away.

That is awesome. So how much did it cost to just buy the cruise control stuff? Or bottomline, how much cheaper is it to do it yourself than to have it factory installed?

Factory doesn't make a kit, there's no kit needed. You take your steering wheel off, and install one with the cruise switch. BUT.. the cruise switch can only be gotten as a steering wheel assembly for $450. I'm gonna check the wrecking yards.
