AC Issues

I have a brand new 2006 Mazda 3, and have had it in the shop several times for the air conditioning not blowing hard enough, and cold enough. It also takes longer than it should to get cool. Has anyone else experienced this problem. Does anyone know of any solutions. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Well known problem. Read this thread if you want in on some discussion about the 3's A/C. also a member there (billm) has come up with a resistor/timer mod to decrease the temp. by another 5 degrees.

Ac Issues

Go have your Ac topped up. It comes from the factory not full to specs. This is a Mazda money saving tactic. I know due to the fact that i'm a Mazda Tech. If you take a temp guage and stick it in the vents. it should go down to about 42-45 Degrees F. This would be in spec.

I had the same problem

I had the same problem. But I took it to the dealer and they fix it. In any case the AC is not as powerfull as the Corrolla 98 that I had beforme my 3.

ac issues

I bought a 2006 Mazda3 sGT in July and my AC seems to work perfectly in the hot Texas weather. It takes a while to get cool when I'm in bumper to bumper traffic, but that's the same in any vehicle I've owned/driven. It usually requires the engine to be at normal operating RPMs and not just idle.

I'm no techie when it comes to vehicles though.

Me Too

I had the same issue. The stealership where I bought it blew me off. I took it to another one . they spent 2 days with it and still didn't fix it. Eventually it got better. All I can figure is there was possibly some grease left over from assembly in one of the vacuum lines that dissipated from the heat.
