auto trans jump

hi, i recently bought a mazda3s 2005 left over and it has 1500mi, and i
when i drive the car with the engine still cold my transmision(auto) really messes up,i mean, the screen would show it passing from 1st to 2nd but it doesn t, and a few seconds later when it really change the car jumps, i understant that the car is cold but im not sure if i should get all that. Anyway, until the car gets to regular temp i've been using the manual shifter. The fact that it is still september and im getting that made kinda concerned of how is gonna be at winter time.
thx fellas

You should check your tranny fluid level although at 1500 miles that's probably not the cause.
If it is then it would certainly be indicative of a larger problem.
You really should take it to the dealer since it's under warranty, because it could be a computer problem, too.

Definately get it looked at. My wifes MZ3 started doing the same thing when it was cold, took it to the dealer. They later said that they couldn't find anything wrong. Funny thing is, it hasn't done it since-they re-flashed the computer.
There's a TSB out for it.

Mine its doing it too it's a 2006 M3, when idle after a few seconds it supposed to get into gear 0... you can feel the brake pedal, sinking and the rev go down a little, well sometimes it goes smoothly but some others its shakes a little but don’t quite gets into full idle mode... I was afraid I blew my tranny (7000 revs not good for tranny, neither burnt rubber smell), but now that you mention computer.... I feel a little bit better, anyway im waiting for the 5000 km service to take a look at that, fingers crossed

ok, ok, i just came back from the dealer, they said there was nothing
wrong with the car, however, he upgraded my car's comp and said
that there is a shifting problem between 1st and 2nd on all the models
under cold weather, and that mazda is aware of it, and thats why
they came up with this upgrade to make the shifting smoother, and
to be honest i really felt the difference. Now i just have to wait
for another cold day to see if it really works.
