Emission standards in California for MS3?

I was just wondering if anyone knows if a MS3 from Wisconsin will pass the emissions test in California? I'm moving to california and need to get my car (MS3 GT with 5000 miles) registered there and was hoping I didnt have to do anything to the car for it to pass that test.

Interesting question. I know ALL Protege5s sold in the states were California emissions compliant (ULEV). I wouldn't think they'd have two different versions of a car that doesn't have large production volume like the MS3.

I don't think it's going to be a problem. We bought a Mercedes from Florida and reg. in California with no problems. Try calling the DMV or see if there's info on the DMV website.

Your best bet is to call a referee, or the CA DMV. and cali mazda dealership.
Reason being since the MS3 came out in 2007, no one really needs to smog till (the sold in 2006 models) have to smog in 2011-2012. New cars have a 5-6 years till first smog.
