GI: Mazda 3 Header

As some of you may already know, I have recently begun to represent a Taiwanese company specializing is SS Exhaust components and Headers.

I started with 3rd gen headers and with this thread would like to gauge interest in a GB. I am currently in negotiations on the pricing and will post more detail as my talks progress. The header, by the way, is already in production and available; this is not an attempt to get Thunder to make one.

The headers are SUS 304 stainless two-piece construction. I've attached a pic.
I have the 2.0L 3rd gen header and macdaddyslomo has the 1.6L header. We can both vouch for the quality of the construction.

If anyone is interested in having me pursue this further please post in this thread.

That's because there is only one right now, Draxas. It's 379.00 for a coated mild steel header, and I've heard of nothing but fitment issues.

I expect the Thunder to sell for 400-425.00 including shipping. I have someone lined up to test-fit one and if all goes well will start a group buy in the next few months.

Stay tuned.

For anyone following this thread, order has been placed and test-fit will be made when it comes in. About six weeks from now.

Typo, right?
Also, price for a 3rd gen Protege header?
Also, I don't see an 02 bung. Does this mean we'll need a CEL eliminator?

Thanks!

I think he's asking $285 or something for a 3rd gen header...Gary can probably still get it in the order, ask him.

No typo, Natey...I was referring to the Draxas header. That one has the fitment issues. I don't expect this one will.
GB for the 3rd gen header is over, I've already place the order. It's 295.00 for the 2.0l to your door and has two bungs--check the GB section for a pic. It's a beauty.
I'll be doing another GB at the beginning of spring, I'm sure, and after that, I'll keep a few in stock as well.

i am looking for a header for an '04 mazda 3s but i would like it to comply with emissions laws here in PA. The Draxas header is not emissions legal so i would rather not deal with it. So if theres an emissions legal header out there, im definitely on the market for one.

There isn't one available and I haven't seen one that would or could be emissions legal.
