we had some Proteges, msps, ms3 and P5s there that dynoed as well. One P5 dynoed at 115whp with SRI, Ractive Headers and Exhaust. Mickeys protege sedan dynoed at 110whp with close to the same set up(I/H/E). Were trying to figure out why there was a 5whp gap bwt them when they both had similar set ups. I guess hatches/wagons FTW! lol

a stock 2.3L 3S is a great engine. With a little breathing mods you should be able to match MSP's in terms of performance. Your stock dyno numbers are only 3-5whp lower than my stock MSP.

Embarassing huh?

p.s. Cosworth is your friend. There's a local 3S guy to me and I'm going to talk him into letting put all cosworth Focus parts on his hatch....see how it goes.

and there's someone on here selling a 2.3 with 24k miles on it from a rear-ended car for $1000... if I had a second car I'd go for it.. MZR + P5 + GT2554R = omgsex

you're thinking too small.

2.3L + forged internals + cosworth intake manifold + HiBoost kit = 508whp+

Remember Cosworth has a bolton package that will give a 2.3L 230whp NA.

yea thats one of the main reasons why I chose this over the msp. The hp numbers were close and one was n/a and the other was turbo charged. What parts cosworths have to offer? Hhmm time to do some research.

Those numbers are suprisingly good for a stock 3. Most pull 125 - 130.
