Hids On non-hid Mazda 3

Hey guys well i baught a mazda 3 and at the time couldnt get one with hids so the sales man said i could buy the hids and they would install them on the car.

Well as luck has it i went back after having my car for a couple weeks and they said that they couldnt install them cause it would conflict with the computer. So what should i do should i go back to the dealer and getr my money back for the hids(as the sales man already told me to do) or should i go and pick up the kit and install it myself bypassing the computer??

i don't understand what the computer has to do with the HID's?? is it just for the voltage change from regular to HID's? i would investigate a little further before you go doing it yourself b/c if that is the case then you will probably burn your new lights out....

As long as you don't have DRL on your car then the HID upgrade will be all plug and play, as long as you get all of the parts from the dealer, including relays if any. I have a Canadian 3 with DRLs and I put HID on it, I had to modify some things regarding the DRLs but you shouldn't if you are in teh States.

peace.....Pete
