How TO Change the thermostat housing On mazdaspeed 3

My car is an 08 Mazdaspeed 3 and it was working fine but last night i noticed that the temp was starting to rise. The next morning i turned the car on and and it will only overheat if i am driving it, if i turn it on but dont drive it first it will not overheat. I think it could be the thermostat but i have never done one on this car can anyone help me out and tell me what they think, and if it is the thermostat is there a how to thread that i can follow.

I was able to get the thermostat off and it was a pain now i just have to buy one. I saw theres a way to test it and the way you do it is to boil the thermostat in water until boiling point and if the thermostat opens its ok if not is bad, just in case anyone has this problem.
