speed

well i first started out with putting in a catback exhaust system. this will add anywhere from 10-30hp if done right. then u can get headers which will add another 10-20hp, cold-air intake 5-15hp, manifold 20hp, flywheel 20-30 hp, racing pulleys 20-30 hp, injectors, fuel pump upgrade, racing axels, short shifter w/performance clutch. its really all about wat u want and how much u willing to spend. also u can check out these forms and learn even more about wat u can do with ur pro. let me know how its goin!!!

The ONLY thing that will get rid of the 118 MPH governor is the SCT flasher which is being developed for the MZ3 as I type this. No idea when the release date is though.

these numbers are SO far off it's scary. Secondly, half of the parts you mentioned dont even exsist yet for a 3.

my advice. Obay your posted speedlimits. there is no need to go over 118mph and no'one here is impressed if you go faster.

Not only that, none of the parts he lists will get rid of the top speed governor anyway.

well....i've seen automatic proteges hit a wall at 112mph and they added the obx header and got an extra 8-10mph out of it...I've seen it first hand. I think it is more load/gear based than mph/gear.....it may even be rpm/gear based....i know some of the cars I've driven will reach top speed in 4th so when you shift into 5th you can't go any faster.

Flywheels don't make horse power they give you more usable hp. Your engine puts out 160 at the crank but only makes around 130 at the wheels. A light weight flywheel will give you more usable wheel horse power.

probably not a good start to call your fellow forum super-mod "stupid". He's one of the smartest guys we've got.

you should stick around for a while before calling people names.
