Insurance Rates

Anyone care to share what they are paying to insure their Mazda 3 2.3 hatchback? Age and deductibles play a role so include that if you want to share your thoughts. Thanks!

I'm 21 out of college and I'm paying $1600 a year for full coverage in Manassas, VA. I have no speeding tickets, etc...My deductable is 500 bucks. Hope this helps.

Answers you get on the board aren't gonig to be a fair gauge of what you'll pay. There are WAY too many variables in insurance. Location, credit scores, driving history, past claim history, type of job, etc... You think this may not matter but it does. Best place to start is your state insurance regulator agency. They typically post base rates from all companies in the state for several different driver scenarios. It will give you a good idea of which company is typically cheaper than others.

Insurance rates

I am thinking of buying a Mazda3 but the insurance rates seem way too high for this car when compared with others...not sure why.

I pay $720 CDN for the year for all the bells and whistles, but then again I qualify for full discount of 42% off. Makes me glad I don't live in a city with over a million people.

i agree....when i went to get insurance for my p5, i wound up getting a new agent and everything. everyone wanted to know everything from car features to driving record, number of claims in the past 3,5,10 years and credit. my new agent told me that one of the biggest things now is to make sure your credit is in good standing if not great. could just mean a few hundred a year for auto insurance or any kind of insurance you might want.

this thread probably created more questions than answers but you'll be better off for it.
