Intermittent headlights and dash lights
Hi all!
My Mazda 3, Hatch, 2.3, 2004, recently went through major surgery due to an electrical harness replacement and ECU, which were according to the technician, irreparable...
Now with a new harness, new ECU, and keys re-programmed, it has a new symptom where the headlights turns on randomly, even if the lights switch is off...
I'm having random dashboard lights turning on too, specifically the steering light, and when it turns on, the wheel becomes hard to turn...
I have done some googling and found that the problem might be the PJB (BCM or ECM in some websites) but the question I have is: If the shop replaces the PJB *WITHOUT* pulling the car-specific codes from it BEFORE they removed it, is there a way to re-program the PJB to work with the other components of my car? I'm suspecting that the shop might have tried to replace it and removed the PJB with no programming at all.
Thanks for the advice.
