Just bought m3.. does stock radio have...

I just bought an '06 Mazda3 last Tuesday and I have my amp and sub from my truck. I am wanting to install it but does the stock radio have RCA ports?

Thanks

As far as I know they do not. I had an 05 3 and it did not. You would need to tap into exsisting speaker wires in order to set up the sub and amp. There is one imput on the back of the radio for either a Sirius hooked up or a special iPod hookup.

Rca?

The OEM HU doesn't have RCA jacks in it. You need to get a LOC to change the speaker level output to RCA.

I know for a fact that it's only got the antenna connection and the factory wire harness connection on the back of the unit. You're gonna have to find some sort of adapter to get it to work I am sure.

Loc?

here's a couple of threads from the mazda3forum. If those don't help you out try doing a search in the electronics section there, or register and ask a question. The install guys there are great for helping out.

there are a lot of folks at mazda3forums which have used this to run an amp with their stock units. good site for mazda3 info.

You can use an LOC but you can also buy an amp with speaker level inputs. My amps have both types of inputs (low level and speaker level) but I decided to go with an LOC.
