Just bought a Mazda 3 Sport
I want to know what mods I can do and where to buy parts? I want HIDs, halo fog lights, daytime ruining lights like on the Audi, want the spiller. anyone got any other ideas? Also I don't know much about under the hood. I don't think there are any performance parts out yet.

Searching around the forum is always a dope idea to see how the other members have modded their whips. The Mazda Enthusiast forum actually has a sticky thread in the 3 section dedicated to websites for parts and mods for the Mazda 3. Maybe check out Protuninglab.com and ddmtuning.com for lights. By spiller I assume you mean spoiler and that you can find on carid.com and other various sites. I would check ebay for cheaper options though. A good first mod for under the hood is a Cold Air Intake or a Short Ram intake, companies that make those range from AEM, K&N, WeaponR, Injen, Takeda, and others depending on where you are looking. Maybe check out getting a grounding kit even though opinions on the effectiveness will differ from peeps to peeps.
I hope this little bit helps you on your quest to total Zoom-Zoom domination!

Ooh yeah you might meet some walls because you have a new model. I'm not sure if the application for the Speed 3 will fit the regular 3. You might want to try to cross reference whether or not the 2010, and 2011 applications will fit as there might be a better parts list for you to choose from for those years.

Well you have to figure out what "size" bulbs you have if you have halogen bulbs in your 3. I'm not too up-to-date on the new model so I'm not sure if it has an HID option, but you should probably see if your lamps are projectors because if you put HID's on a non-projector headlight then you will blind peeps and they will hate you.
You can find the size of your bulbs in the manual, but if it's anything like the earlier years then the low beam will H7 and the fogs will be H11.

You may want to try researching this website a little for your intake. They claim 2010+.

Well when you look for HID's you usually figure out which bulb size fits your car, as HID's use the same measurement to fit your car. I'm almost positive it'll be H7's for the lowbeams and H11's for the fogs for you're 2012. Then you either go for 35W or 55W which is just power output, 55W's are little brighter but cost more. Then you figure out which intensity you would like for your car. Do you want functional HID's or are you going more for looks? The brightness of your HID's are measured in the Kelvin scale, sort of like the stars in the sky. The brighter the light is, the color changes. 3000k HID's are yellow, 4000k are a little whiter, 5000k and 6000k are the "whitest" HID's and will provide you with the most visibility. 5000k are whiter than the 6000k, which are white with a hint of blue. 8000k and 10000k are more blue, which is popular but you lose visibility on the roads and blue is very fatiguing on the eyes. 12000k, is considered purple, but it also depends on the brand of HID you are purchasing. It may look more blue or violet depending. Anything above that from what I'm aware is either blue or purple or pink. I suggest getting the 5000k or the 6000k for the lowbeams and whichever color you want for the fogs. However, if your headlights are not 'projector' lights then HID's will blind others on the road and the light will be diffuse and harder to see. You can usually tell a projector headlight by turning on your lights at night near a wall and if the light is cut off at a horizontal line then you should have them. Also, foglights are not projector lights nor do I think they make them.

The lowbeams are H11. I have 35W and 6000K in my 2012 Mazda 3 and I love them. They are mostly white with a slight hint of blue. I definitely wouldn't go any higher than 6000K though, it becomes too blue and harder to see at night. I've also read that the fogs are 9006 for sizing, unless you have the skyactiv model, then they are also H11.
