Just bought my 2007 mazda3, lookin to upgrade! PLEASE HELP

just bought my 2007 mazda3 with the 2.0. I love it!
Im looking to upgrade stuff real fast. I want to start by putting on a cold air intake, and possibly chipping it. Im new to the tuning scene, so any advise would be great.
Performance most DEFINITELY comes before looks, but id also like to make it look good too. Any suggestions on body kits or other cosmetic upgrades are much appreciated.
Thanks!

Heres ma baby

well then if its only an automatic 2.0L then there really isn't any reason to mod it to make it fast. I know because i have the same car. But if you wanted to, start with easy stuff. CAI or exhaust nothing huge cause it would be a waste. Mostly work on the cosmetics of the car.

you're not entirely in the dumps because you have the 2.0 vs. the 2.3.i've seen honda b16's (1.6) pump out outrageous power.

first go with a good cold air intake setup, you'll feel the difference!if you want to hear the difference, weapon r makes a secret weapon short ram intake setup that's cheaper than most cold air kits and claims more power with an easier install.then get a nice header.4 into2 into 1 is most common.vibrnt makes a great one.then get a high flow exhaust system,i recommend magnaflow.that's about $1100.you should be at 145hp at the wheels.it sounds like a small amount, but with all those parts you'll gain about 15% power.then if you get an itch, buy a decent nitrous kit.i recommend wilson manifold for this.they sell a decent kit with a special box to sense wide open throttle to activate it.you want to run a dry setup(nos only)jet it for 30-35 hp to be on the safe side.

i know this because i have a 2.3 hatch and i did all those blt ons and got 156 at the wheels(which is what the manufacturer claims at the flywheel)then when i ran the dry nitrous setup at 40 hp i was running 14.5 in the quarter mile at 96 mph.
this is respectable for the tiny work done.since then,i got into the engine and replaced pistons and rods.the stock pistons and rings were perfect, like new.no signs of being abused at all, thus reliable.

good luck
