I've only got the 3i with the power package and the 16" wheels...plus the A/C (why in the hell is that an option?)...but I'm loving it. Mind you, I'm moving from a VW GTI that had the VR6 engine in it. The 3 doesn't quite have the same kick but man can it handle. It handles great but yet is comfy. Mazda seems to have found the middle ground - at least for a 15k car.

I highly recommend it.

Buy one

The I is a very good bargain when compared against all the competition. The S is superb as it adds just about every option you'd care to have. I bought s sedan and am very well pleased. I drove Camrys and Accords, Civics and Corollas, but the 3 just blows their doors off in driving experience.

Thumbs up It's a great car

I've had my 3 for about 6 weeks now, and i love it more everyday. it's a fantastic car- lots of room inside, comfortable, feels solid, and is a blast to drive. i've got about 3500 miles on my car in 6 weeks, a lot of those just because i really love driving this car so much. it's got a smooth ride, handles great, has some pep to it... i can't say enough about it. i compared it to the honda civic, crv, element, toyota corolla, matrix and the pontiac vibe, and when i drove the 3 i knew it was the car i wanted. ymmv, but i thought it was the best car in the bunch.
