Low Windshield Washer Fluid Light

Hey guys
I know when the Low Windshield washer fluid light is supposed to come on but it seems like I don't have any fluid left and my light isn't coming on. I was wondering if the light is working on ALL 3's or only on GT models. Mine is 06 MS3S Touring. On my mother's mercedes the light comes on when there's about 1/3 - 1/4 fluid left. Let me know. Thanks

The reservoir goes pretty deep, deeper than it looks. Is fluid still coming out of the nozzles? If so, just run it till nothing is coming out anymore and see if the light comes on.

Well... that's the thing. Nothing comes out and the light doesn't come on. I can hear the pump so it's not like the pump is bad. I haven't put any fluid in it for a long time so it should be empty. I might have to bring it to the dealer to look at it.

Does the light even come on during the self-test when you first start the car? Maybe the bulb is shot ..

It doesn't come on when I turn the key to ON (that's when all lights are on). Is it supposed to come on at that time?

I'm pretty sure every light is supposed to come on at that time for a self-test. The Protege5 does it, so I suspect the Mazda3 should too. Try to get someone else to verify it for you and if that's the case then you got yourself a burnt bulb. You'll need to remove the cluster, disassemble it and replace the bulb. Now that's only if the bulb is supposed to come on and doesn't ..

Just got back from the dealer. After calling the 1-800 mazda number I was instructed to have the dealer check it and guess what.... they said my car (model) doesn't come with that option . Whatever...no big deal. I asked them about the issue with the clock being behind once in a while and they said its a known issue and it is covered under the wty. They'll replace the LCD on the radio at anytime but I have to call in advance. So if you have the clock problem you can have it fixed at no cost. Just an FYI
