Mazda 3 aux screen

Mazda 3 aux screen
I just got a mazda 3 2010 touring and whenever i plug in my ipod, all i see is AUX with a line under it on the left screen. Isnt there supposed to be my artist or something else listed on this screen to make everything easier or do you have to change everything straight from the mp3.
