Mazda 3 Fender/Bumper Connectors/Clips Somethings Or Other
Hi... First off, great forum. Here's my question:
I have a 2005 Mazda 3 that's coming off lease in a few weeks, and I have a pair of minor dings I'd like to clean up before getting it inspected for the turn in. The problem is that it looks like I'm missing some sort of internal plastic clips or something, and I'm hoping someone here can refer me to where those parts can be ordered (or even just tell me what they're called so I don't have to keep saying "connector-clip-thingies").
The bigger issue is where the front passenger side fender/side panel connects to the bumper (by the headlights). The two panels have come apart and the side panel has sort of furled out a little bit. I can push them back into proper alignment, but it doesn't stay, and it looks like there's supposed to be a little square piece of plastic or something in there that should slot into each panel and hold it in place.
I've also got a similar issue with the rear side panel, where it connects to the back bumper (behind and under the gas cap area). The gap between these two panels is much smaller, but again it looks like there's a clip or a tab missing that could hold them together.
If necessary I can post pics of the problems...
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm not much of a DIY-guy, but I figured I should at least check to see if there was a 99 cent solution to this before paying an auto body shop $300 to fix it for me. Thanks in advance for any help you can give...
