My brand new 07 3 HB does NOT play MP3s. Lame, lame, lame. The manual shows some players having the MP3 logo on them and give instructions for playing them. But mine doesn't and the MP3 playback does NOT appear to be an option. Is it just random that some cars get MP3 capable units and some don't? Lame, lame, lame, lame, lame.

I bought a Creative Labs ZEN V Plus to play my MP3s in the 3. $100 and it seems really cool so far.

The BOSE 6CD Changer/Moonroof package don't have an MP3 option, just plays regular CDA's.

I have a 3 GT 5dr 5M. I only use the AUX jack when I do long trips and I usually just plug in my PC to it. One suggestion though if you'll do what I'm doing, get a power inverter to charge your PC. If you have those 12V DC plugs from your PC to the car's cigarette lighter, you will hear interference.

Planning on getting the iPhone in a few months when my AT&T contract is up. Been hearing problems too with static when you charge your iPod/iPhone directly to the car's power outlets. But I think I saw some suggestions from this site, and also the car forums in edmunds.com. Would the iPod-integration kit from Mazda work?

 

I have the non bose system and have a 12v plug and mp3 port inside my center armrest.

 

I have a BOSE system and I have both the aux jack and 12V plug inside the center armrest.

I think the 07's have those as standard even without the BOSE Audio System.
