Red face New Mazda3 i touring owner

I am a newbie here so please forgive me if this sounds stupid. One things that I didn't realize when I bought my new Mazda 3 i touring series is that my keyless remote entry does not have a trunk button to open the trunk. Is this standard on all Mazda3's? Even my 2001 Altima had a remote trunk release button.

That's correct, no trunk button on your electronic key fob. Very inconvient, my Ford Focus from 2000 even had one. Also the doors all locked automatically after driving off 1/8 a mile everytime you started a new driving session. You would think these foreign cars would be on top of it, but when it comes to those two things; they just aren't available or standard.

The Toyota Corolla key fobs also do not have trunk release. I'm not sure how many competing cars have this feature.

Congratulations on your new Mazda. I hope it makes you very happy. Mine definately does. Upgrade the to shark fin antenna at www.sharkfinantenna.com. A higher end look to your Mazda3.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info., other than that I love my Mazda3. I like how it looks, drives, pretty much everything. Is the sharkfinantenna something that I would install myself or do I need to have a dealer install it for me?

Im just not a fan of hatchbacks, but if I were to get one it'd best be a mazda hatch, as all the other ones look like (rap.
sharkfinantenna.com is great dallas. I just got mine. Looks a lot better than the factory whip antenna that makes your car look like a Focus, Corolla, Jetta...in other terms, "just like the rest." Its something you would have to install yourself, which is not very hard at all.
