Noisy Mazda 3

My wife and i just bought a 07 Mazda 3 sport and it is making a very loud tick from the front end. It only has 6000 KMs on it. and the mazda guys say that it is normal.. they also say that it is because of the purge solenoid.. When is mazda going to come up with a solution to this and does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks...

Is it coming from the engine? Check your oil level. Give us more details

Hi, thanks for responding.
The noise is from the engine compartment. It starts up on shifting at about 2500 rpm. Oil level is fine as are the rest. Like i said before the Mazda guy said it was the purge solenoid. He said that Mazda changed the placement of them and that they are noisy... they are going to try and stop it by putting in a rubber washer so that it doesn't cause the feed back vibration noise. . Has anyone hear ever heard of such a thing?
