OEM stereo is dead ... anyone else seen this?
I have a 2008 Mazda 3s and I love my little car. Until yesterday. Now I'm furious.
I got in her to run to town and the display above the stereo seemed to be stuck in a boot loop. The display would say "Hello" then show I had a CD in the stereo, then flash back to "Hello" again. None of the buttons would respond either on the deck or on the steering wheel.
I got home and pulled the battery hoping it would stop the boot loop from coming back, but no luck. I've pulled the unit from the dash, checked the connectors, and checked the fuses ... but all looks well.
I bought the extended warranty and it will be covered, minus $100 of my deductible. But still ... I'm kinda pissed. It's only three years old. Grrrrrrr
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what did Mazda do about it?
