Parts cost for the Mazda3

Hi all,

I am considering buying an '07 Mazda3 GS. The one thing I have not been able to determine in all the browsing I've been doing, and the asking around that I've been doing, is whether it is still true that Mazda parts are much more expensive than those for Toyota and Honda cars.

My mechanic has tried (unsuccessfully so far) to make me change my mind about the Mazda and go Toyota, saying I'll be spending more on repairs down the road than I would for a Corolla for example. Thing is, the oldest Mazda3s on the road aren't that old yet, so I haven't come across any complaints.

Is it true? Are Mazda3 parts pricey?

no, parts aren't any different between models.

Here's the TRUTH.

Toyotas last forever...only problem is you're stuck with a toyota forever. I'd rather buy a new mazda every 5 years than have a reliable toyota.

toyota has no soul. Every car mazda makes is sporty...every car toyota mokes is for girls.

toyota sucks...i'll never buy a new one until they bring the Supra back (i'd buy that new fj cruiser, if i was older, and had a family)...and the new corollas look kinda shitty too.....
anyways, toyota took away they're best car they had (the celica) and the supra a while back. the sportiest vehicle they have now is the TRD tundra pickup

the toyota celice is still being made...it's called the Scion tC. IMO the sportiest vehicle they make is the X-runner pickup....not a trd tundra. The X-runner will out-handle a 350Z/RX8.

the point is toyota makes cars for one group of people. A mazda customer is a niche customer who knows what they want. They want excitement. They want driving dynamics. Toyota customers want longevity and a smooth ride.

Like Accordion mentioned, I am on the road to gettin' a new vehicle myself. My first car (rx7) has low compression so im in the middle of rebuilding it and need another car to do my daily driving.

I understand what im getting myself into, but I suppose my question is this... If i were to get parts for my Mazda 3 (06 or 07 hatchback) what would be the best source for this? Example, i want to put in some nice thicker (if it comes with it not sure) anti-sway bars upper lower and both front and rear. Where would i go to purchase, or get these?
