Rattling

Bought my ms3 in may and love this car except for the crappy bose system(bose my ***). Traded my civic si which had a real music system but can't match in other comparisons to the ms3. Anyway lately the front passenger door rattles like a cheap ghetto installed speaker. I've traced the source of the rattle to the outside handle. The self accredited genius at mazda said that they've been receiving more complaints about this and that they(mazda engineering) didn't put enough insulation on that side and that there ins't a standard fix for it. He took my number and said he would call me when he gets a response from mazda.
Anyway after this long story, has anyone expierienced this f__cking rattling.

i guess just be glad that it's not the motor mounts!!! but that is another screw up from mazda with a nice car. the more i read the more i don't seem to wanna get one now...seems like a lot of headaches for a brand new car. even if it is a great car.

I have the same issue. I hear rattling form both front doors and it is pissing me off! Did anyone got this serviced in a dealership?
Plus I have the rear end noise over bumps as well, I guess I am going to a dealership soon. Please, let me know how your dealer handled these issues?
Thanks.

I had the same rear end noise. There were two bolts loose in the rear subframe. Get your car in asap.

There seem to be a lot of rattles in this car - I hear one from somewhere in the dash area, and another in the hatch on the passenger side . Can't find anything loose - it's really aggravating!

I would judge a car based on a forum. Most people come here with minor problems they're having, but you'd see the same kinds of posts on Nissan or Chevy boards. Every car has it's little annoyances, even more so when you're buying for under $30,000.

I've had rattles here and there before. But during the winter time. I'm not experiencing it now as the weather is really hot!

Hard-plastics tend to compress in cooler temperatures specially if it's really cold. No matter how they're well fit together, they will have some friction and that's the cause of some rattling sounds. But, when I start to heat up the car, and turn the heater on, the rattle goes away.

Right now in the summer, it didn't happen so far with my car. I used to have a 2000 Corolla with the same hard plastics, it did the same thing. I even went to the dealership several times and had the Area Manager ride with my car to observe the noise. And that was his conclusion.

The only problem I had with my driver's side door was the locking mechanism wasn't working. Took it into the dealership and they fixed it. Hopefully this isn't a problem with all of them as a locking door is kind of important...

Other than that, I don't have any rattles or problems.

rattling

I am pretty ticked, with my mazda. I have a 07 black GT 5 spd with lip spoiler, absolutely love the car, but all the ticky and creeky plastic in it, is driving me nuts. And now i have the back end making the noise. Its only 15,000 km in, and it does not seem like a new car. i notice the glove box makes some noise over bumps, took me a while to find the where rattling was coming from, may just need to put a little spacer in to tighten the glove box up when you close it.

Geeeeze, where are you all coming up with all these problems? 27,500 miles, no problems at all so far on MS3. I did get the recalled motormount replaced last week, but there were no symptoms that it needed it. Whitten Mazda in Richmond gave me a decent loaner car for the day and took care of it all except they forget the service tag for the recall work. I'll have to call and remind them about it if I don't hear back soon.

I've got about 1800 miles on my MS3. Yesterday I heard an awful rattling from the right rear. Reached under the back and checked the sway-bar nut and found it completely loose. Tightened it up and the rattle went away.
