I've been looking and looking for rear calipers for my 2005 2.0L 4-door standard, and all I can find is remanufactured calipers. I don't trust remanufactured and i can't find who makes the standard calipers that come in the car off the line. Anyone who knows of a manufacturer that provides the calipers I need that aren't remanufactured, any information would be appreciated.

 

The only option I know of is going to a mazda dealer, they should have new parts... but the remanufactured ones are no different.
If you don't trust them you can always just get a rebuild kit for yours.

What is the issue with yours anyway? corrosion, leaking, sticking?

 

My pads are rubbing. It started as soon as I got the rear pads replaced and the rotors machined. I've looked into it, and apparently these cars are known for having brake problems and a lot of different causes for the problems. I just need to read up some more and then do the work myself. Thanks for the info

 

I've had repeated issues with the brakes dragging slightly, and it's the caliper slider pins that are too tight. I found any lube I put on got absorbed into the rubber, resulting in dry contact and sticking.
I had placed a metal collar inside so it was a metal to metal contact instead of rubber and it was fine. The only problem is the metal slid out on a couple occasions so it wouldn't be a proper seal around the pin. But after removing the collar, the internal rubber ribs had gotten 'set' in a recessed position so they no longer drag on the caliper pin. I also found some silicone lube (Chemplex 710 silicone lubricant) and haven't had any dragging issues, though I have to pull them apart when it gets warm out again to see what happened with any of the lube being absorbed.
