Remote Keyless Entry

Remote Keyless Entry
My 2007 Mazda 3 4 door has power locks, but not the RKE. Has anyone ever added the OEM REK module to their Mazda?
If Yes, I'm just wondering if RKE module just plugs in, program remotes and away you go? Or is there more to it than that.
I'm wondering if it may be just that easy, as a couple of other OEM add ons I added we just so. For the cruise control all I had to add was the steering wheel control - all the wiring and other items were already in the car. Just plug and play. Also added the OEM fog lights. Screw the lights into the bumper, wires already there to plug in. Change the lights column switch, to the one with the fog switch integral, and voila, also plug and play. All the wiring and relays already in the car.
TIA,
Mike

Not sure about CA, but in the US if you have power door locks then you have keyless entry. Did you buy your car used? If so they may just not have given you the remotes, and you may just need to get one and program it in.

New Car on lease. It is in Canada. It has power locks, but not keyless entry. It depended on the option package taken. My daughter also has a 2007, with a higher package, and has RKE in her package.
But she also paid much more than I for her version.
I only put on my car those items that are not practical to add easily - like AC and power windows. This also means power locks came, but not RKE. Based on my experiance, it seems likely all I need to do is purchase, and plug in the RKE module, program the remotes and good to go. I'm just wondering if anyone has any detail on if that is all there is to the RKE?

Looking here could give you clues (I'm clueless, lol):

In Body + Accessories/Keyless Entry and B+A/Security + Locks/Security + Locks Index
The last one gives location. There's a wiring diagram too.
