Hi everybody, i have a 2004 M3 5 dr manual that i purchased a couple of months ago, it's a great car i felt in love instantly when i tried it. I have a noise on the right side that can be heard every time that the car makes any effort (during pick-up or going uphill) after lifting the car i realized that there is a bearing holding the right axle (like the yoke in the RWD cars shaft)that has a lot of play, the problem is that i cannot find a source for that bearing, and the dealer only sells the whole axle assy which will cost me around 350 bucks!! anyone knows any place that i can buy a used axle or only the bearing?

 

i had the same problem. the dealer replaced it and my car still has the same noise.i did find a bumper to bumper here in florida that had the shaft for $180. but i let the dealer fix it. still have the same noise. if you find that when you get it fixed and it still makes the same noise, let me know what you find out.
