Taking out the headlights?

I opened the hood and disconnected the power supply from the headlights, the only problem is, I can't seem to actually get the unit out of the headlight, I twisted it I pushed it in, I pulled it and I can't figure out how to open the danged thing. I was going to put some silverstar ultras in but I can't get the old damned ones out. anyone got any tips?

if you're standing in front of the bumper... reach down on the top spring, push the spring toward you, and lift it up (towards your head!) while its pushed in.

dont waste your money on the silverstars... i bought them... no REAL noticable difference from factory. you'd be better off even with one of the 60 dollar HID kits that you can buy off of ebay.

I had silverstar ultras in my 3 for a while. got 'em for 25 on ebay. They worked really nicely. However once you go HID you don't go back.

heres a link to the kit I got. there a little pricier than 60 but you get a lifetime warranty. Also dabears2k (Matt( is known for his outstanding customer service.

ON TOPIC: just like guy above me said, push the spring in (towards you) and then kinda maneuver it down (while keeping it depressed)
