Trouble Starting

I just picked up my 2007 Mazda3s on Monday evening. First, I have to say, I love it! Secondly, I have a problem and want to know if this is normal or if I should have the dealer take a look at it. The problem is that unless the car is warmed up, it does not start on the first try. It is has a manual transmission and I am pushing in the clutch. Is there a trick?

Maybe you should take it to the dealer

Hey,
I just bought mine about a month ago. It's a 2007 and a manual and it never had that problem. Maybe you should take it back to the dealer ASAP!!!!

I don't have trouble starting my '06 Mazda3s but I do notice that once I do start her cold, if I don't wait until she's warmed up and I throw her into 1st and go, she sort of stutters a bit until I get going. Is that normal?

Sorry if this has been asked before but i"m a noob.

Dosn't sound good. I'm not a mechanic so I can't tell you whats wrong but there is a problem for sure. Maybe it's not getting enough air?

Sabre: It was fairly cold this morning and mine took a bit longer to start but didnt have any problems. It's normal though for any car that is REALLY cold to stutter a little bit.

Trouble starting update

Well, I took my car in to have it looked at and it turns out it needs a new fuel pump. The dealer has almost had my car as long as I have had my car. I hope this is just a fluke and not a preview of things to come.

My Pro used to stutter in the cold, but that was the VICS not wanting to open up. Don't know if the 3 has an intake control.
