I realize this topic has been posted all over the net and here, but I can't find examples of this hack working on a 2009 Mazda 3s. I have the 6 CD changer as well.
Can anyone offer any advice here? Or point me in the right direction. I would really like to have this function.

I have only seen examples of 06-08's. 2009's are never mentioned.

I was just wondering if anybody has a 2009 MAzda3 were they were able to unlock this function...

I think someone mentioned it not working after 2008 - mazda apparently 'fixed' their system to not allow the user to turn the trip computer on.

how do i activate the trip computer on my 2008 mazda sp23, bose sound system 6 cd stacker with aux. Is it possible?

 

In the US Mazda changed the system in the mid-year 2008.5 refresh. Depending on what was released in your country and if Mazda made changes here's the process to try out.

1- engine is off, driver's door closed
2- press FM button first and CD button second (do it otherwise and it wont work) and hold down
3- Turn key to ACC, no need to turn engine ON.
4- display will read DIS ON after 3 seconds.
5- turn key to off.
