weird squeaking/clunking noise

Hey all,

I'm getting a weird squeaking noise when I accelerate and when I slow down to a stop it changes from a squeak to a clunking noise. I'm also getting visable steering wheel vibration when i drive above 80 km/h. It does start to get a little better above 110km/h

This all started after I brought my car in for a service and had my driver side strut replaced and had a wheel alignment and balance. The shop I brought the car to said that my tires were lumpy and thats what was causing the vibration, but they had no clue as to what could be causing the squeaking/clunking.

The solution they gave me was to buy new tires and that may or may not fix the problem.

Im not convinced that changing my tires is going to fix my issues and I dont want to spend money on a solution that may or may not fix the car. I had a look at my brakes but they look to be in good condition and I dont see anything that could be causing the noises.

Any ideas?

I drive an 07 Mazda3 hatch.
