Whats wrong with my cd changer?
Hey...for anyone who can help.
I just installed a new stereo system, with two 12 inch subs, a new amp etc. But i kept the factory head unit....it was working fine for about a week then all of a sudden my cd changer said CD OUT CD OUT CD OUT...and nothing was happening. Now when i turn on my car it just says cd but nothing will play.
The radio works, my amp works, the subs work...the battery is fine. I even unplugged the battery and then hooked it back up. I dont know what the deal is?
Any ideas on how i can fix it?

Hey there.....
There is a possibility that something went wrong power wise with the instalation of the amps and it simply took a while for it to snap.......BUT........If that were the case I would like to see more errors than just the cd not working. The fact that everything else on the unit works sounds an awful lot like it would simply be either a mechanical problem with the loader or an electronic problem with the loader.
As long as you ran the amps right (good ground - seperate power than what the radio is on) I cant see where the dealership could fault you as you havent actually modified the head unit, and they would have to go an awfully long way to actually prove that an electrical problem caused by the amp and sub install caused the problem.
Sounds like dealer warranty time to me......just my two cents....hope it helps.
