Wiring for Drivers Seat Motors in a 2008 Mazda 3 GT
Hello:
I am asking for some help and guidance with electrical wiring for a drivers side seat from a 2008 Mazda3 GT. The seat is black leather with heater and is power operated. It has an air bag within too. I got the seat from an auto wrecker and am trying to get it to function in my home flight simulator cockpit. I built a base for the seat and now I would like to be able to power the seat so the 3 motors that do the adjustments are operating. I am proposing to use a 12V battery power pak as the power source, as it can be plugged in to 120V AC and continually keep pak charged.
My problem is that I know nothing about automotive wiring. I presume the 2 seat plugs from the power side and fuse box that come up from the floor (one white with 7 wires and the other yellow with 2 wires) control the seat belt latch warning, seat heater, air bag activation?, possibly stereo components?, and certainly the seat motors. I only need the motors to work, and need to know what wires need to be connected on the floor plugins into the underseat plugs?
Here are the wires that go into the floor plugs. (These plug into the 2 sockets under the seat.) The orientation is as if one is looking from the wire side where the wires go into the plug.
WHITE PLUG
-has 7 wires in it
upper bank of 5 is (from left to right) :
1. vacant
2. white with silver dashes
3. black (large)
4. pink with silver (large)
5. white with red stripes and silver
lower bank is:
1. black with silver dashes
2. clip is here
3. clip is here
4. pink with red stripe (largest)
5. brown with red stripe and silver
YELLOW PLUG
-has 2 wires in it
Left side wire is green with black stripe and silver dashes
Right side wire is black with green stripe and silver dashes
Can someone help me out? Any suggestions on what needs to be done to get this to work, any help with a diagram or appropriate section of the electrical service manual or where to get one, any need for fuse, etc., any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
