Xenons- yay or nay?

Well I have never had Xenons but I have the super white bulbs in my car and they are great. I was considering a Mazda 3 and I was going to get the Xenon lights just b/c they are in one of the packages I wanted. But i am pretty sure the bulbs are for the Xenons are expensive.

I've run Xenons in my Frontier before, and they burned out to quickly for my taste. I don't know what they will do in a protege. I finaly went with Sylvania's superwhites in my truck, and so far I have had no problems.
It depends upon which manufacturer you go with, of how expensive they will be. I don't suggest Euorlite, they're cheap in almost every aspect. They ran me about $20 for a pair, and always had an issue of the connector not always getting connection with the bulb. And then, the bulbs only lasted about 6 months. I tried a diff brand, around $30 for a pair, and they lasted me little less than a year.
The sylvania's I have now have been in there going on a year and a half.

I had H.I.D.'s in my old car the actual ones from the factory not some cheap $30 a pair bulbs and they worked fine. I had the car for 3 1/2 years and when I turned the lease back in they were still working. So I have had nothing but postive feedback on the H.I.D.'s. I got them in my Mazda 3 and look great definitly worth the upgrade.

Can anyone else give some more feedback on these xenon lights? I've read some rumblings about the xenon's bouncing?? when you hit bumps in the road?? Is this a problem and is it typical?
I've narrowed my choice down to two sedans and the one that is in my preferred color has the xenons, but unfortunately it also has a few other options that I don't want. If I wasn't so impressed with that Titanium Gray, it would be an easy choice.
sorry

well, i don't know if bounce is the right word... they shake a little but it's only on the initial impact, not like a constant bouncing or anything... they return to their original position and everything

I opted to go without the zenon/HIDs as my last car had them and i found them to be annoying, and offered no real advantage over a good set of halogens. My friends 3 has the zenons and i dont like they fatiguing feeling they give my eyes at night and are dont light up the road any better than mine.

I got the regular headlight package and am gonna replace all my front lights with Aftermarket Xenon Bulbs cuz it's cheaper and I can get all 3 sets for my 3, including fog lights for under $55 total.

Oh now THAT'S encouraging!
I ended up getting a different 3 with xenon headlights and I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary as far as movement when hitting bumps....I like the brightness of the lights and the ability to choose different elevations from inside the car. I do find myself feeling a little self conscience about the lights when passing by other cars though. I just have the feeling that I'm blinding the other drivers. Oh well.
