04 Auto Trans - Car jumps when entering 2nd gear
I saw a post on here about someone who had a similiar issue as my 04 making a thud or clunk sound when going into reverse from park or going into gear from park and having it make a crank like sound. So I figured I'd post this on here and see if anyone has any idea what is going on here...
I picked up my car around 7 months ago and ever since I got it I have always noticed there is a slight jump when the car enters second gear. It doesn't happen when entering any other gear nor when I first start up in first gear. But when the car approaches and switches into second gear it stalls just for a split second and then seems to give it a quick burst of gas to compensate. So imagine someone tapping the brakes for a split second and then accelerating immediately after. This is what the car does 98% of the time when entering second gear. Not sure what to make of it. Took it to the dealership today but forgot to mention that issue but they also made no note of it, if they would have had the chance to notice it. Any help or ideas would be appreciated on this. Thanks.
