Buzzing noise from right-front.
Hello,
I've got a 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback that is making a buzzing sound coming from the right front when it's engaged in drive. It is a low buzz, similar to the sound an aftermarket, tuner exhaust or an exhaust leak makes and becomes intermittant after reaching the middle of the gear range after 1st gear. It is worst when the car is cold, like in the morning first thing, when I'm trying to accellerate quickly, or when I'm turning hard right. I had the car warmed up and was able to make the car duplicate the noise doing a hard right donut in a cul-de-sac. When I turned around and did the hard left donut, no noise. We also checked the tire to see if it was loose on the hub (no) and had play in the bearing (seemed snug). I had to take the plastic shield off of the bottom of engine compartment because it broke and was dragging, but it was removed for a while before this noise showed up. Lastly, front axles have a pink stripe on them. I was told that this meant they may have been rebuilt. Any suggestions?
