Engine Suddenly Shuts Off
The Check Engine Light does not come on, the engine simply shuts off. It can be restarted after a few minutes. It seems to first fail going uphill. Subsequently on a straightaway, if it fails it can be restarted by popping the clutch. There had been a CEL P0126 indicating that the thermostat was faulty. I replaced it, but the car still stalls.

I'm having a similar issue with my 2008, going fine and RPM's drop to nothing like the cars not getting gas or power. Some dash lights flash on then go off and car drives like normal until it does it again. Had it happen 3 times now, first time it did it two or three times, replaced the alternator and it happened again. Most recently it did it like 7-8 times in a 2 mile stretch.
I thought it could be a fuel pump but mechanic checked and said no. No check engine light for diagnostics.
Any luck figuring it out?
