HKS catback

hey everyone...

i want to do a Catback exhaust on my car, and the shop i buy my aftermarket parts from suggested the HKS catback exhaust system.

i was just wondering if anyone here has this catback, or knows of someone who does.....

im getting it for $800, (cdn) and im installing it myself.

i just want to know how loud it is.. cuz im come home alot pretty late, and i dont want to wake everyone else....

my parents say my car sounds fine just the way it is, so pretty much,
i need some good excuses to get this catback.
so far, my best excuses ive come up with are:
1) its my car and my money
2) this will help my education (in auto mecanics)

thanks, Adam

I have Vibrant Exhaust Catback on my 3. I know couple of members in the TM3.ca club that has HKS in their car.

You can also find more info here

Also try Youtube and you can find various clips on the HKS exhaust for the 3.

ya, i already did that....but it's still best to hear it in person... on your car....

so i think i'll just go ahead and buy it next week....when i get paid...
haha.. i told my mom it only cost $400... lol.
cuz if i said $800, there would be no way in hell she'd let me buy it

so im gonna pay for the exhaust weekly, so $200 every friday or something like it.
oh man am i excited... cuz i already got the looks, now i need the sound, then the performance

This HKS Exhaust is on sale Here
$450 + your stock exhaust + you pay for my (de)installation (about $60). You'll meet with me at a exhaust shop and we'll trade exhausts.

i have to be a member to join that group....
but i think i'll join anyways...

but im liking the sounds of this....
cuz i actually found this one shop near my house that will do a custom made magnaflow exhaust for $450 -$550 cdn......
so how good of condition is your exhaust, and why are you selling it??

and p.s. i cut my stainless stock tip off of my exhuast and replaced it with a 4" tip...

but if we go thru with this, i'd like to hear the exhaust first. just a quick trip around town.. thats all.....

oh, and you have a sedan too right?? i cant quite tell from ur sig

It's not mine, I have Vibrant Catback Exhaust. I just saw it posted at the TM3 club and thought you might be interested. The reason why he is selling it is due to buying a new car. He is parting-out a lot of good stuff.

I think Magnaflow is a bit louder than the Vibrant Cat. You might want to go in the GTA meets to hear it personally. Just a suggestion.

i have a magnaflow, and i don't find it to be "loud" its nice and low i like it because it doesn't sound rice-like (civic with fartcan) to be honest it sounds close to my dads 350z with a borla exhaust

haha... i hate it when people post in old threads....
just so ya know bud, i've had the magnaflow exhaust in my car for at least 2 weeks now, and it sounds awesome!!!
the best part is when i drive under this bridge on my way home from work, cuz it echo's and makes the exhaust way louder!! :P
