JET Performance Chip/reprogramming of ECU

Ok, I'm smitten. The naysayers say it's snake oil, others say it has technical advantages. What's the deal with the JET performance chip or their reprogramming service where you send your ECU to their laboratories and they rechip it and send it back. They have a Stage 1 and Stage 2. I'm sure there are people out there in Mazda land who have tried this- what's their opinion?

I tried one of those Diablo chips for a pontiac Grand Prix and it was a joke- totaly useless (I did get my money back!).

So, is this a hoax, too?

Tell me, I need to know....

Thanks!!

I am also wondering about these performance chips; SLR Motorsports makes one $ 69.95 Can this thing actually do anything for 70. bucks??
