Exclamation Mazda CAI and BOV question...

Just picked up my Speed3 on Wednesday. I'm a relative newbie when it comes to aftermarket mods, I've never had a vehicle that would have benefited from it. Anyhoot, I'm already interested in upgrading to a CAI and getting the upgraded horsepower and performance. Should I also purchase a Blow Off Valve at the same time or is that already included with the kit? Any other appropriate info or input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Buy the intake and use the money you'd spend on a BOV and get a nice downpipe (catless if you can get away with it).

The power gains will rock your ***.

Difference in CAI?

Is there a big difference between the stock MazdaSpeed3 CAI and aftermarket suppliers like Injen etc? I know the aftermarket may be cheaper, but are you sacraficing performance and reliability for price.

Thanks again..

The mazdaspeed unit is an OEM with a different badge on it. It's the one I used on my MS6 and I loved it. If there are others out now I don't know about them.

I'd suggest ATP for the downpipe. Thats what I bought and it's great.
