Mazdaspeed 3 turboback exhaust

Hey guys,

I have a question for you. Will turboback exhaust (with high flow cat) fail my emission inspection? I'm from NJ and I have 08 Speed 3. I was looking at Corksport turboback exhaust with high flow cat, but I'm not sure if I'll pass emissions test. How will that exhaust affect emissions? Will they get worse, or I have nothing to worry about? Also if you have any suggestions on which turboback is best, where can I get one, etc. any help will be appreciated.

I would highly recommend talking to the manufacturer of the exhaust you are looking to purchase. If they cannot put in writing that it will meet emissions, then don't buy it. Check HKS or Greddy for a turbo exhaust as they are more reputable in my humble opinion. You will need a larger diameter pipe to accomodate the turbo.

Well it dupaneds on the state you are going to. But in most cases the cats ahve to meet the epa standers or they cant sell them. i have worked at mazda and at midias. While at midias i had to take the cat and exaust course to get my cert. so you should not have a problem. but if you do and still have a question go to a nearest mazda dealer and have it diag to make sure that it still passing the on board emissions. if so you wont have a problem at the station.
