Hey people.. could use any help from any1 atm would appreciate it... i recently bought a 2005 Mazda 3 5door .. i love it.. and im wanting to modify it.. BUT i dont want to void the warranty .. so obviously im not goin as far as a turbo etc... but does anybody know WHICH parts would void the warranty such as intake/headers/exhaust etc.. and does any1 know of a place i can get MAZDA parts so that it WONT void the warranty .. i've tried japanparts.com cant find an exhaust or headers.. im pretty sure tho that an intake/headers will void the warranty .. any way around that? .. let me know if u can .. thanks

 

anything you do can and will void the warranty. If you can't afford to fix it when it breaks (not IF but WHEN) then don't mod.

But what you could do is go talk to your local mazda service center and point blank ask him what you can do. When I asked they said as long as it doesn't cause any problems then it's ok. But I have a cool mazda dealer (sometimes)!

 

I was nosing around the dealership while getting service done ( I busted an engine mount! ) and found a Mazda speed pamphlet that has some things available for 3 mods- body kit, lowering kit, suspension, higher performance clutch...all over priced. But, no exhaust or any real performance mods yet. That's about the only way I'm aware of to mod without voiding the warranty. Also, I've heard rumors about an awd 3 turbo in the works.

awd 3? hmm... heard of a mazdaspeed 3 fwd coming out... and a mazdaspeed 6 awd...

 

I heard the simular things also. We went test driving about a month ago and the sale man was telling us he heard that the Speed3 will have around 270hp awd. Now how much hp it'll really have who knows. But that would be nice.

 

MS6 = 274bhp + awd = $30K

MS3 = 220-240bhp FWD + 6spd. = $23-25K

 

i have a 2004 mazda 3 5 door and i added an intake and an exhaust system. both of these products did void my warranty but if you take them off before you take them to mazda they will never know. neither of the product made my check engine light come on. i was told by mazda that as long as it does not change the air fuel ratio of the car that it would not void the warranty. but another website that sells the most three stuff that i have found is corksport.com, but my friend owns a shop in jonesboro ga and he can get a hold of pretty much anything. the intake i put on was the injen intake system, which was a little tricky to put on compared to the aem but i like it alot better then the aem. the exhaust i had cutom done before they made it so it isnt any "made for car exhaust".

Man i am jealous, I should have waited. I saw a pimpass silver 3 hatch in Atl traffic yesterday. So after that I think if i could get Silver MS3 and I will be ok.
like I need that type of HP.
