someone please make it go away!!!!!!
I will be utmost gracious to someone if they could please tell me how to get rid of the govenor on my mazda3. it is such a nice car on the highway and really gets going but, then it breaks my heart when I hit that limiter at 118mph. if anyone has any knowledge on how to dispose of the gov please let me know.

there's no way he'd be able to do that on the stock ecu anyway so it's not an issue.
we promote safe driving habits here. If you want to speed take it to the track. Don't be a ricer and ask how to make your "whip" do 150mph on the street.

Normally I'd be all for having all limiters removed and letting Darwinism sort it out, but at > 118 mph there's a good chance you'd take someone out with you when your stupidity exceeded your control of the car.
That said, dealers do have a way of increasing the limit via the WDS.

just so everyone knows I am not some ricer who goes out and drives wrecklessly through traffic trying to race every soccer mom in a minivan!!! I love to go to the track and run the quarter mile and I know once I put the turbo kit on, upgrade the cam shaft and install bigger fuel injectors in my car it will do well over 118 in the quarter mile, thats why I asked this question. I learned my leason when I went head on with a ford expedition at 70 mph in my turbo scoupe and as a result I lost my girlfriend. I swear never to street race ever again.
