SR Motorsports?

I was on the Sr Motorsports page looking at their stuff today and I was on the Intake page. It says one of their intakes will give 11+ HP for the Mazda 3. I have a 2.0 and most Intakes i've looked at say they only give about half that much???

The honest answer is closer to 3-4 at the wheels on a 2.0, and most of that will be in the upper RPM range.

yeah not that much of a gain. i wish....i know for a fact i didnt any real gain from my cai....maybe up top at high rpm's but not much. talked to a kid i work with...brags about how he mops the floor with all other cars in his stock 07 eclipse gt. said he bought a fujita intake and they had a dyno showing as a gain of 17hp...i was like good luck with that. said they had a dyno so he knows it was correct.

Call him out on it. Make him show you his dyno sheet.

yea but if you read the gains on their sheet look at the mods before the intake...usually consist of an exhaust and pully for the base pull and same for when they add the intake....so they have the exhaust already to let the air out so it is going to make a bigger "total" gain if you just add intake you will see 2-5 but if you already have an exhause you will see closer to 10-20 bigger exhaust does no good without bigger intake and vice versa....alone both just make the car sound better but together it actually makes a difference

you will see a bigger gain if you already have an exhaust than if you dont....and same goes for an exhaust you will see a bigger gain if you already have a cai

more air in+ same air out= minor difference
same air in + more air out= minor difference
more air in + more air out= major difference(compairatively)

ya, i already know all that...
more in air/more air out = way better flow/way less restrictive
