Private Party Value Search Local Listings for This Car $3,710
Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is" and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.

Retail Value Search Local Listings for This Car $6,045
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history . This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.
i wish i could sell my car for that much

you dont get laughed at for selling a modified car, but expecting to recoupe costs of modifications is kind of silly, especially since when someone HAS a modified car, it 9 times out 10 means that they had fun with it, which regardless of what people say, IS abusing it, which is fine, cars need a good slap in the *** every now and then ...
#29
well not at the fact that its modified, just that they arn't ganne pay for what you did to the car.. its not gonna happen... ebay.. if you want that 4500 you could get close to it there..
third party selling is a way to go.. but you have to know where and how to sell it

why would you expect to get your money back from used modifications? value of anything auto related drops severly as soon as it rolls off the dealership lot, or is taken from the store front, people who sell brand new mods 2nd hand still cut 20-30% off their price because otherwise noone will buy it, trying to recoupe costs of mods is just something that you should not expect to do, because for that cost someone will just go buy a stock car, put the same money into it, and have your car essentially, the entire appeal to buying a modified car is getting something with more performance, for less money than you'd spend to do it yourself...
regardless, what is the lowest you would take? i have decided to throw my winter beater up FS and see what i could get out of it and try to find a nice AWD subaru, but this might do the trick to, depending on how low you'd go...
