Jdm Familia
Hi,
I'm writing this from Dublin, I have a JDM familia hatchback up for grabs. Its the interplay 3dr model. The car is relatively standard
spec. It was imported from japan in 99' directly to dublin. The car
hasnt been modified it's been kept original
*1993
*1.6L
*4WD
*Bucket seats
*103k km
*Standard right hand drive
*original JDM Alloys with high torque tires.
Rare car, reliable and has been tested by the Irish National
car testing service to comply with all road regulations.
I'm open to offers on this car. So either email me or send me a pm
if you would be interested. HOWEVER it would be up to yourself to
import the car to your own region as I dont know the first thing about doing this.

I'm guessing it's one of these.
It's a nightmare to legalize grey-market cars in the US. That's why we don't see any Skylines on the road. Maybe Canada's got different laws, but I'm afraid that no one will be able to import that car into the US...as cool as it would be to have one. And it would be a neat little car, too!

Its the same body shape as what you guys would call a first generation 323.
You know what a GTX or a GTR looks like? Well its relatively the same car as them minus the turbocharger. however the transmission in this familia is the same as the GTX and GTR so if
one of these motors was sourced it would bolt right in because the cranks are the same.
theres a differential lock in the trans aswell. This car grips like a leech and Handles like rollar blades because being a 4WD it feels like a rear wheel drive car.
Why would the car to hard to legalise in the states?
It would deffo be worth importing and cant see why it would be hard to legalize.
Here in Ireland theres quite a few trans am and vettes going around and they passed our legislation with flying colours. I'll try and get these pics up today some time.

Japan has the most advanced safety requirments in the world. I mean everything is electronic over there making it more the less impossible to steal a car and sell it on there.
Any JDM car should pass inspection. It has side impact bars and everything.
Well anyway I dont know about american rules or whatever:P
I've been tryn to get pics up with my pic fone but they wont send to my email address. Try again later and see what happens.

fair point, I've noticed the bumpers on american domestic market vehicles are much larger. I'm sure a JDM car could be modified on a temporary basis to pass inspections. Or would I be wrong there?
I bought this car mainly for modification purposes just so I could race the thing. Tis a lovely machine but I've just purchases a motorbike so I need the cash.
However I've realised these cars are pretty much hot property in the states hence my offer of sale to this market. PLus there seems to be an enthusiastic crowd here who could seriously change this thing into something of a monster. Theres 323 GTR'S around my part with 400 plus bhp.
An evo driver would find you an absolute pest on the twisty bits because the power to weight ratio on these cars is very significant. GTX/GTR motors arent impossible to source if you know what your doing. I could also get my hands on one if any1 were to be interested and sell the car with the engine in the trunk ready for installation.
