Central NJ weekly meets

MTMA (Mazda Team Mid-Atlantic) is setting up regular weekly meets in central NJ (with ones in the Philly and NYC areas coming soon as well).

This week's meet will be held WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 20th @ 7:30 PM at BORDER'S BOOKS AND MUSIC on Rt. 18 N in EAST BRUNSWICK. In the coming weeks we will try out new locations before deciding on anything permanent.

These regular meets are going to be held at busy locations around central NJ (Middlesex, Monmouth, maybe Mercer counties), and are just an informal gathering of Mazda enthusiasts. I'm trying to get the MTMA name out there, so we can attract more members

We will meet at 7:30pm in the parking lot, probably towards the back where there should be plenty of spaces available. Come on down and hang out, and meet the local MTMA members. Learn about the club, and join. Current members who are up to date with their dues and have not yet received their decals can pick them up at this time.

Directions from NJ Turnpike: Take exit 9 to Route 18 South. Continue below.

Directions from Route 1: Take Route 1 to Route 18 South. Continue below.

Directions from Route 9 (from the shore area): Take Route 9 North to Rt 18 North. Border's will be on your right hand side a couple of miles up Route 18.

Directions from Route 18 South: A couple miles down Route 18, you will see Border's Books on the left hand side. It's in the same shopping center as Best Buy and Boston Market. Take the jughandle to get into the parking lot.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Nah it's more than just hanging out together

Dues cover club expenses such as our webpage.
They cover meet expenses like any required permits, food and beverages, and trophies.
The club chips in to cover costs of trips whenever possible. For example, last month a bunch of us drove out to HersheyPark in central PA. The club chipped in and bought everyone's lunch in the park.
We are also working on getting special discounts for club members on car-related items (we already get discounts on all Amsoil products, and one of our members works for a car audio shop, and gives members who have paid their dues a pretty good discount).

The 'hanging out together' weekly meets are just that -- to hang out, and to meet and attract new members.

Sorry for no updates last week. The first meet was a success with 8 cars showing up.

This week's meet will be Wednesday night at the diner on Rt. 1 South right by the Menlo Park Mall in Edison, NJ. I can't remember the name of the diner off the top of my head but will post more details later.
